“Bully to the highest degree. Heartless Hero is a must read for 2019.” Sarah, Musings of the Modern Belle

There are rules to being Abigail Crowne’s bodyguard, rules to watching the infamous billion-dollar heiress, otherwise known as the Reject Princess.

Never forget your place, always put the Crowne name above all else, and never, ever hurt the Reject.

Especially don’t torment the Reject.

Even if she is a spoiled brat.

So when an opportunity presents itself to punish her, you definitely shouldn’t take it.
Then again, Abigail loves to be tortured, and I’ve waited patiently for revenge.

I’ll keep her safe… with cruel protection.

Love is off limits with Abigail Crowne, but no one said anything about hate.

About the Author:
I started writing the moment I could read. My first characters were Wibbley and Squig and I used MS Word and clipart to bring them to life when I was a kid in elementary school. I started seriously thinking about being a writer in High School and I remember the day exactly, because it was such an epiphany. I was always so uncertain. You know how everyone was always asking what you wanted to be when you were older? Well I NEVER could decide.

I wanted to be a marine biologist.

An actor.

A FIRE FIGHTER (thank you Joaquin Phoenix in Ladder 49 for that phase).

One day it hit me—A WRITER. I could do it ALL. Then you couldn’t stop me from writing. I penned my first novel at fifteen (but don’t ask me to show it to you, because it’s like I was in competition to beat the thesaurus). When I was diagnosed with a chronic illness, writing became even more important, because it became my therapy. When I wrote my characters, suddenly I wasn’t so alone.

These days you can find me daydreaming about where to travel with my husband, singing in my car, or lost in the newest K drama. And planning my next novel, of course

Excerpt
“Who the fuck?” I couldn’t believe that I was getting hard just from seeing the back of a woman across a smoke-filled room. Maybe I
shouldn’t be that shocked, my sex life had been sparse since going undercover.
Having someone’s sloppy seconds, literally, since I was low man on the totem
pole, was just gross.
I straightened and moved closer to the dancer, glancing over
to Sage, who was wide-eyed with curiosity. Not an ounce of jealousy or anger in
her features. I was close enough to see that the dancer didn’t have red hair as
I’d originally thought, that was a trick of the lights. No, this woman had
strawberry blonde hair just like . . .
I was going to fucking kill her—that was, if Bladder didn’t
recognize her and kill her first. I wanted to ring her perfect neck. Hell, I
wanted to ring Sage’s neck for bringing a cop here. She knew better.
I glanced over my shoulder toward the guys, who were
watching me and cheering me on.
Bladder was focused on the woman standing between his legs
and her hand on his crotch.
Thank fuck.
“Sweet thing is gonna get some!” Bear yelled.
“Give ’em something to suck!” Flagpole hollered. His voice,
as always, carried above everyone else’s.
Several of the women turned and stared at me. But not Piper,
she was still facing away, dancing as if she were alone. I moved forward,
wrapping my hands around her waist and pulling her flush against me. “What the
fuck are you doing here? Did you not learn your lesson the other day?”
“I’m sorry, what was your name again?” Piper practically purred.
I leaned in closer. “You know damn well what my name is, but don’t say it.”
Her whole body froze for the briefest of seconds, a reaction
that could be explained away as her adjusting to the rhythm of the new song
instead of shock. I knew it for what it was, and it pissed me the fuck off. She
hadn’t let well enough alone.
“I needed to see you,” she panted, and her sultry voice hit
me straight in my cock. She brought her hands back and grabbed onto the sides
of my legs, her hands on my thighs was hot. “You need to step back and let me
be. You’re either who I want you to be or you’re not.” She shimmied her ass
against my growing cock.
“Fuckkkk, this isn’t funny.”
“I agree, I don’t see anyone laughing.”
But she was wrong, because from the corner of my eye, I saw
smirks on her friends’ faces. I wrapped a hand around her neck and pulled her
head back so that it was resting against my shoulder, I made it look forceful,
but it wasn’t. Quickly, the circle of dancing women closed in around her. “Let
your friends know that I’m not hurting you.” I was pressed to Piper’s back so I
couldn’t see what she did or mouthed, but the women around her noticeably
relaxed.
“I want to talk with you.” Her voice was raspy.
“No, you don’t. I’m not the same person you used to know.”
“I didn’t ask if you were the same person, I’m not the same
person, I’m all grown up, see?” She pressed her hips back again. Fuck.

Excerpt
With my drawings in hand, I head toward the backyard, the sound of the
ocean becoming more pronounced as I go. Everyone’s already gone for the day,
but they left their messes behind. There’s material all over the back deck for
the kitchen remodel and two new windows leaning against the siding. There’s a
large dumpster in the driveway for all of the old building material, but
there’s still a small pile of scrap by the back door.
I glance around quickly, confirming my guys cleaned up after themselves
before heading to the very back of the property. Pink paint marks the route
Rhenn will use to dig a trench and run the wiring for the new lights. When I
get to the back, I can already see what they’re envisioning. There’s a small
clearing with a breathtaking view of the ocean. I can practically picture the
small benches or swing back here, with a few lights to illuminate the path.
Solid idea in adding it, I agree, pleased to enhance this area of the yard. I
make a few notes on my drawings and roll them back up.
As I get ready to turn and head back to my truck, a familiar scent blows
in with the breeze. It’s gardenia and honeysuckle, and the sweet aroma reminds
me of a happier time. The memories come flooding back and I hate the longing
that starts deep in my chest. Closing my eyes, I let the salty breeze wash over
me, fighting against the reminiscences. God, I hate I can still smell her, feel
her as if she were standing right beside me.
Opening my eyes, I gaze out at the sea, wishing things could have been
different. No, I’m not wishing away my son. He’s the best part of my life and I
wouldn’t go back and do everything over again if it meant losing him, but
wishing for…closure. Needing it, actually. I never got it. Never heard why she
left in the middle of the night. Never was told what I did wrong. Never had the
chance to make it right.
Maybe being back here, I’ll finally have it.
Knowing I have a ton of work to do and only a little daylight left, I
slowly turn my back to the ocean, desperately looking to put some distance
between me and the honeysuckle. When I turn around, I see a woman. Her long
blonde hair is piled high on her head and her gorgeous hazel eyes are wide in
shock. Soft pink lips are gaped open as she stands not ten feet away from me, a
look of surprise and horror written all over her beautiful face. She’s as
stunning as I remember in my dreams. She stands there, the house she grew up in
as the backdrop, as tears fill her eyes. It’s hard to breathe and even harder
to keep myself from rushing to her, taking her in my arms.
But I don’t.
I can’t.
As much as I want to, I don’t move a muscle.
The entire world has shifted.
Everything has changed.
My Kate has come home.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.
