Mia Murphy may be married to the man of her dreams. But the man in her dreams is the one that got away—her high school crush.
Mia’s stuck in a rut, just like every other stay-at-home mom, and the only thing saving her from her monotonous routine is her perfect husband, Declan. He’s gorgeous, he adores her, and the man stole her heart with his sexy singing voice. Mia feels like the luckiest girl in the world, until she discovers that Mr. Perfect is not Mr. Faithful. Mia is devastated. Everything she once believed about Declan and their marriage is now covered in a big cloud of doubt and regret. On impulse, she kicks the cheating bastard out, pushing them into a separation that could mean the end of the picture-perfect couple.
But when Mia receives an invitation to her high school reunion, she finds herself abandoning the present for the oh-so alluring pull of the past. Although her heart still belongs to her husband, inescapable thoughts of her crush, Noah, resurface. And ten years later, Noah isn’t afraid to make his move. When the build-up of fantasies and ‘what ifs’ comes to a head, sparks fly and it’s Mia’s turn to question if her marriage is everything she wants out of life. Searching for answers, Mia dives head first into dating Noah, falling further away from her husband and closer to her old flame.
But Declan’s not giving up so easily. Mia is his one and only and he’s not about to let another man win her heart.

My face is pressed up against a pillow, strands of long golden hair splayed out across the
smooth, silken sheets. His hands reach underneath me to grope my breasts, his fingers bringing
my nipples to beaded peaks.
“Please, baby. I can’t wait any longer,” I beg.
His tight erection skims the cheeks of my ass and then, with one quick tilt on my behalf,
the long hardness nestles between my silky moist folds. My body instinctively opens for him,
allowing his entrance and I moan with gratitude as he guides his way inside.
I clutch fistfuls of sateen sheets, stifling moans with the pillow. I know I need to be quiet, so
I whisper his name. “Noah…it’s so good, baby.”
Unexpectedly, the sensation is gone and I lift my head to look over my shoulder, bewildered,
before I let out a satisfying gasp. His mouth has taken over and the wetness of his tongue on
my equally wet flesh is pure ecstasy. His slick movements are erratic, alternating between
sweet, gentle suction and rampant, greedy licking. His expert-like ministrations cause an earth-
shattering ripple to shudder throughout my body. I revert back to grabbing the sheets as the
intense tremors build even more, coiling deep within.
His tongue teases and then stiffens, breaching into me, unraveling the last of me. I pant into
the pillow, replete, satisfied, on cloud nine and then I hear the laughter.
“Good morning, babe.”
It takes a second to register that the voice coming from between my legs isn’t Noah’s, but my
husband’s. Oh my God, not again. Thank God, I never screamed out his name.
Or did I?
“Declan, what the hell are you doing?” I spin around, landing on my back and pull the covers
“Giving you the wake-up call you deserve,” he replies, licking his lips.
“Are you nuts? What time is it? The girls could have….”
“Don’t worry about the girls. They’re both still sound asleep. Me on the other hand, I’m wide
awake.” He wiggles his eyebrows up and down and points to the massive erection that’s created
a tent in his flannel pajama bottoms.
I pull him up to me and he collapses on his pillow, next to mine. “I can’t believe you did that
while I was still sleeping. What the hell gave you that –wait, have you been snooping through
my romance novels again?”
Declan can’t contain his laughter. I slap a hand across his mouth, shushing him. “Shh! Let
them sleep.” I nibble his ear, inching my hand into his PJs. “You started it, now let me finish it.”
I enjoyed this book a lot. The idea behind it was very intriguing and caught my attention. Mia, Declan, Grace and Noah were interesting characters and Faith did an amazing job with them. The only thing that I did not like about the book though and it was kind of big for me because it threw me off at times…were the flashbacks. The reason I didn’t like them was because at one point they started going in a weird order…some were mid 90s, then 2000’s then late 90s and it was kind of a mess. I personally am not a fan of flashbacks to begin with…and this book and one every other chapter. However, I was able to see past that and still enjoy the story of a cheating husband, a woman who goes to her high school reunion and reunites with an old crush…but still has to deal with her husband (who she kicked out) and her nosey best friend. In the end Mia must decide who the Man of her Dreams really is….her husband or her high school crush?
How long have you been writing, what inspired you to start?
I started writing last May after reading Fifty Shades of Grey. It was always something I dreamed of doing, but never had the courage to follow through with. But once EL James came on to the scene, romance took on a whole new meaning to me—hell, to the world. I decided I wanted to take a stab at it and haven’t been able to stop since.
5 best things about being a writer?
-Getting the voices out of my head—they’re always talking!
-Escaping to another world created entirely by me—one of my favorite quotes is “avoid reality at all costs.”
-Having an outlet to tackle all my deepest emotions; fears, fantasies, insecurities, and pure joy.
-Meeting new people every day—readers, writers, and bloggers. I feel so lucky to have been welcomed into the writing community with open arms. I’ve made so many new friends along the way!
-Connecting with readers about how my words impacted them in some way—this by far has been the absolute best thing about being a writer. I love ALL the feedback.
What are three things about you that might surprise your readers?
-Faith Andrews is not my real name.
-I despise writing sex scenes.
-I like to name my characters after real people in my life and my favorite TV show characters.
Top 5 favorite scenes from Man of My Dreams
-THE REUNION—hands down, favorite scene to write. I was giddy when I wrote those chapters—reminiscent of my own reunion but so excited for Mia to see Noah again. Mia and Noah graduated the same year I did so all the songs and the movie references are very near and dear to my own memories of high school.
-DECLAN AND MIA’S FIRST DATE—there is no denying the attraction from the beginning. Declan is a smooth talker who seems like the ultimate ladies’ man, but really he’s just a sweet guy trying to win over a pretty girl’s heart. Mia, on the other hand, is a vixen—she wants Declan from the second she sees him.
-CHAPTER 1—Did I trick you? The dream Mia has about Noah was meant to lead the reader to believe she did indeed snag Noah in high school, but when she wakes up and has to deal with her two little girls…I think everyone can appreciate that a mother’s job is never done.
-THE CHRISTMAS PARTY—this is when Mia finds out that Declan’s cheated. As heart wrenching as it was to pour out Mia’s emotions onto the page, I felt that this really brought so much into focus.
-TEAM NOAH OR TEAM DECLAN?—Mia’s final decision! I love who she ends up with in the end. The final chapter was so hard to write because someone has to walk away the loser, but when all is said and done, Mia winds up with the man of her dreams.
What scene did you have the most fun writing? Why?
Declan’s point of view—I loved getting inside his head and letting him speak his mind. For most of the book you’re angry with him, but he needed a chance to tell his side of things. He surprised me sometimes with what he revealed, but writing the male POV was just so much fun. I don’t know what it is, but thinking like a man is just so liberating!
Please tell us about your characters.
Mia represents every stay-at-home mom. She loves her kids and her husband but she just feels unappreciated. Characteristically, she is spunky and loveable, but her insecurities tend to get the best of her. There may be times where you hate Mia for her decisions, but in order to find herself she couldn’t ignore the ‘what ifs’ that kept her up at night.
Declan—we want to hate him for what he did to Mia; for not only straying, but for making her doubt the strength of their marriage. He is nothing if not determined in anything he puts his mind to and he’s sexy as all hell, but underneath his gorgeous blue eyes and his charming exterior, he has a huge heart. And it only belongs to his wife.
Noah is everyone’s ‘what if.’ Come on, you know you have one! He’s the complete opposite of Declan as far as looks go; green eyes, short dirty blond hair and a more rugged tough-guy appearance. But where he and Declan are similar is that he has a weakness for Mia. He may not have shown in high school, but now he’s all grown up and not afraid to make his move.
Every girl needs a Grace. Yes, she’s nosy and pushy and plain out annoying at times, but she is Mia’s voice of reason. You’ll see this theme throughout Man of My Dreams and how Grace pulls Mia out of some sticky situations.
If you like visuals (who doesn’t) my muses for these characters are:
Declan: Derek Hale
Noah: Paul Walker
Mia: Reese Witherspoon
Grace: Mila Kunis
What are you currently working on? What other releases do you have
planned for 2013/14?
I am currently wrapping up a first draft of Little Brother which I hope to release early 2014. Here’s synopsis of the book.
Sexy, tatted up, underwear modeling, Marcus Grayson is every girl’s dream—or more likely worst nightmare. He’s a player, a self-proclaimed bachelor for life, and he’s got no problem living up to his man-whore status. But when his older sister’s friend comes back from the past, he may just have the chance to turn some of his adolescent fantasies into reality.
Tessa Bradley is a self-sufficient, take-no-bull, single mother—well, now she is. Finally rid of her abusive, alcoholic ex, she’s making a new life for herself and catching up with old friends; the ones she was forced to break ties with because of her controlling husband. When she runs into Marcus, her friend Riley’s once-adorable turned smoking-hot little brother, she has no idea how he’s about to rock her world.
